How To Throw a fun and exciting Oscar Party

The Oscars are this Sunday and most of the buzz seems to be around Leonardo DiCaprio, who may finally win his long overdue award (shouldn’t he have won the award five years ago?). If you are a pop culture junkie and plan to host a party, here are a few tips for making your event a memorable one.

Popcorn bar: clear out a table and put lots of popcorn and a load of fun topping. Throw some jalapenos, honey, tabasco sauce, butter, yummy worms—anything that might taste great with a bowl of popcorn.

Champagne: nothing says Oscars like a glass of bubbly. Find a tasty recipe or just drink it on ice. Yes, it’s a Sunday and everyone has work the next day, but the drink can add a bit of style and classes to an Oscar party.

Games: everyone loves to show off their pop culture and movie knowledge, so give your guest the opportunity. Write movie quotes from all the nominated films on an index card and challenge your guest to name as many as possible. Give a prize to anyone that produces a perfect score.
